So, what are the most important things you need to know about presenting yourself on video? Before you start filming: Think about what is important to you. What do you want to say? What are you looking for in others? What are your most important personal attributes? What makes you be the person you are? (What is your profession? Do you have a family? Do you love to party? ...)
Be honest! There is no use in bragging ��� the others will find out sooner or later anyway. And how should you be able to find your dream partner if you don���t give them a chance to get to know the real YOU?!
Try to find a place where you feel comfortable being filmed, maybe even a place that tells a little bit about yourself. Try filming different parts of your life; you at home, you at work, you going out ��� your favorite restaurant or club... A video gives you the possibility to show your real life.
Don���t worry too much about what to wear in your video; even though it wouldn���t be bad to show some effort, the main point is that you feel comfortable!
Even though you should show some aspects of your personality, we would advise against telling your whole life story or anything too personal. On the other hand, the more the viewers can find out about you and your life, the easier it will be for them to find out if they fit into it. So find the right balance! Think about what you would like to see in your future partner���s video and figure out what the essentials are that you want to show. The more individual a video, the more it stands out from the crowd.
